Materuni Waterfalls stands at about 90 meters, making it one of the tallest waterfalls in the Moshi area. Along the way, you will walk through beautiful, untouched landscapes, coffee farms, and lush greenery.
Itinerary
Morning:
You will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and drive to Materuni Village, located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Upon arrival, meet your local guide and begin a scenic hike through farms and forest paths towards the waterfall.
Midday:
Arrive at Materuni Waterfalls and enjoy the stunning view of the cascading water. You will have time to relax and spend about 30 minutes swimming in the natural pool (optional).
Afternoon:
After the hike, return to the village for a cultural experience. Learn about traditional coffee processing—from bean to cup—and take part in preparing your own organic coffee.
You will also enjoy a demonstration of the banana beer-making process, followed by a chance to taste this local drink in a beautiful village setting.
