Safety, Vaccination and Immunization

Tanzania is one of the safest country in Africa, Tanzania is one of the country in Africa which never experienced civil war. The government has put many measures to ensure the safety and protection of tourists.

If your entering Tanzania from epidemiological dangerous region no vaccine are necessary . Although we advise to get vaccination and preventive medications of Hepatitis A or Immune Globulin (IG), Hepatitis B, Malaria, Rabies, Typhoid vaccine, Yellow Fever when arriving into Tanzania from countries where Yellow Fever is Present.

Covid19

Fully vaccinated travelers will be required to present a valid, original vaccination certificate for verification upon arrival.

Unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated travelers are required to present a negative Covid-19 test to enter / depart Tanzania. The test must be a PCR Test that was done within 72 hours of departure. Client's who are not vaccinated or fully vaccinated may be required to take Rapid Antigen test upon arrival.

Getting to Tanzania

Different Airlines operate flights to Tanzania We recommend Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Klm and Fly Dubai.

Passports and visas for Tanzania

Visas can be obtained online at Tanzania's Electronic Visa Application System. ( https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/guidelines )

The online process takes about 20 minutes and the turn around is days. You will need a digital photo of your passport, a separate photo of your face, and a pdf of your flight confirmation email.

The cost of a Tanzanian visa for US citizens is $100, payable in US dollars. For other nationalities is $50, payable in US dollars.

Those with passports issued by the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and most of Europe can also obtain visas upon arrival at entry points including Kilimanjaro International Airport.
